Adam Douglas Brock
Adam is a Jazz singer who appreciates the music of those era's gone by. Cherishing both the standards and the obscure songs that
were made popular by Ella, Mel Torme, Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Louis Jordan, and Carmen McRae. Adam also has become a huge
fan of scat singing, which has become a lost art form by many current singers. He has released two CD's, "From Me, To You", which
is a Christmas CD & "All Jazzed Up."
Adam has a degree in Theatre and can be found doing his own Cabaret shows at various venues as well. Please visit

Maureen Budway
Maureen has been singing professionally since age 18. Her diverse career encompasses and excellence in both traditional and jazz
repertoire. She holds a Bachelors degree in Voice performance from Duquesne University and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Voice
from Carnegie Mellon University. She was winner of 1985 Pittsburgh Concert Society Competition. Performed Duke Ellington’s
Jazz Mass with renowned jazz drummer Louis Bellson, performed Frick Art and Historical Society Concert with world renowned
jazz drummer Jeff “Tain” Watts. She has performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in 2007 and 2008. Performed with the
Pittsburgh Ballet Theater’s production of the jazz ballet Indigo in Motion.
She has performed in the Mellon jazz festivals, Three Rivers Arts Festivals, Hidden Valley jazz festivals with jazz flutist Hubert
Laws. She Is currently a member of the Pittsburgh Jazz Legacy Band under the direction of Marty Ashby and has performed with
jazz greats such as: David Budway, Sean Jones, Ronnie Cuber, Marcus Belgrade, Mark Murphy, Essiat Essiat, Victor Lewis, Ron
Afif, George Colligan, Joel Frahm, Jon Cowerd, and Jonathan Kreisberg.
Recordings include: Jazz…the Budway, with pianist brother David Budway, Maureen Budway and the Freddie Bryant Trio, Mass
of Hope by Joe Negri, Latinventions, by Salsamba and Last Call at the Balcony.
Maureen is proud to have recently been chosen to perform with her brother David Budway for the Living Legends Jazz Series
sponsored by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust in April, 2008.

Joyce Breach
Singer Joyce Breach lives in New York and was the winner of the 2000 MAC Award for Best Jazz Performer and winner of the 1998
Bistro Award for Best CD, This Moment. She is an accomplished and sophisticated interpreter of classic American popular song.
Before moving to New York in the 1990's, she was a well-known singer of long-standing reputation in her hometown of Pittsburgh,
PA when she began to develop a more national profile with her first CD for Audiophile Records, released in 1992.
Awards include, 2008 MAC Award Nominee—Best Jazz Recording Remembering Mabel Mercer, Volume 3, rhe 2002 Mabel
Mercer Foundation Cabaret Classic. the 2000 MAC Award Winner—Best Jazz Performer
and1998 Bistro Award—Best CD This Moment. In New York Joyce has performed at the Algonquin's Oak Room, the Russian Tea
Room, Arci's Place, Danny's and the Firebird Cafe.

David Budway Piano
David Budway is one of the most distinctive pianists on today's international jazz scene. While deeply
rooted in classical music and rock and roll music, his masterful command for the modern jazz vocabulary has
propelled him into the midst of present-day jazz pioneers. He is quickly becoming a highly sought-after
accompanist, arranger, film composer, and songwriter. David is another Pittsburgh native and Maureen's
brother.
Paul Thompson Bass
A Pittsburgh native with a national presence. Paul has played with among others, Milt Jackson, George
Benson, Jon Faddis, James Moody, Mark Murphy, Rebecca Parris, Gary Burton, Richie Cole, Clark Terry,
Kenia,Dianne Schuur, Marlena Shaw and Monty Alexander. He has toured with Maynard Ferguson as
musical director ('97-'99), as well as playing in the late, great saxophonist Stanley Turrentine's last touring
group ('99-'00).
Reid Hoyson Drums
Drummer /producer REID HOYSON has been playing jazz in the Pittsburgh area for thirty five years, as
well as shows and variety music. Has produced two CDs for his group The Soiree Band, the first in 1998.
He has recently released a new CD "No One Claps For The Low Notes" available at cdbaby.com. Reid has
worked with The Silhouettes, Bobby and Harry Cardillo, Bobby Negri, Jimmy Beaumont and The Skyliners
and of course Joyce Breach, producing her first CD "Songbird".
MC Bob Studebaker
Well known as the AM jazz host on WDUQ FM 90.5. Bob has served as our MC for each of the Monroeville Jazz Festivals.
